AMAZON JUNGLE & ADVENTURE RIVERS PLAN

2 Nights / 3 Days

 

DAY 1 – Jungle Immersion and Overnight Camp

Arrival in Leticia and road transfer to km 14 on the Tarapacá route.
Hike through terra firme rainforest to identify species used in ethnobotany and understand jungle dynamics.
Set up jungle camp with hammocks and mosquito nets.
Campfire and dinner in the jungle.
Night walk to listen to the sounds of the forest, observe bioluminescent fungi and nocturnal insects.
Storytelling night with Amazonian myths and legends.

 

DAY 2 – San Pedro Community and Tekuna Reserve

Breakfast and dismantling of the camp.
Jungle hike to the Ticuna community of San Pedro, with observation of fauna, flora, and traditional latex extraction.
Cultural exchange with community members and introduction to the Ticuna language.
Navigation in traditional wooden canoes along the Yahuarcaca creek to the Yahuarcaca lakes (only during high-water season).
Lunch at Tekuna Lodge, artisanal fishing, and canoe tour through the flooded forest.
Swimming activity in the Yahuarcaca lakes.
Dinner and nighttime canoe excursion to observe wildlife.
Overnight in cabins with private bathroom at Tekuna Lodge.

 

DAY 3 – Amazon River Navigation & Binational City Tour

Breakfast.
Boat trip to Leticia navigating the majestic Amazon River.
Visit to the imaginary point of the Three Borders (Brazil–Peru–Colombia).
Tour of Santa Rosa Island (Peru).
City Tour in Leticia and Tabatinga: market, handicrafts, border zone, commercial district, and Comara viewpoint.
Transfer to the airport.

It is essential to carry valid identification:

  • National ID card (adults)

  • Identity card or birth certificate (minors)

  • Parental authorization when only one parent is traveling and the program requires crossing borders

  • Passport or foreign ID card for foreign visitors or residents

 

It is recommended to have the international yellow fever vaccination certificate (applied at least 10 days before travel) and the tetanus vaccine.
