Day 1 Arrival, Walk through Leticia-Night walk in the jungle

  • Bogotá - Leticia, arrival at the Alfredo Vásquez Cobo Airport.

  • Reception and transfer to the hotel.

  • Welcome cocktail

  • Walk through Leticia, visit to the ethnographic museum of the Amazonian man in the Banco de la Republica library, Santander Park where we observe the arrival of thousands of white-throated parrots to spend the night, Leticia's center, artisanal galleries and naturist houses.

  • Return to the Hotel.

  • 5:45 p.m. Meeting with your guide at the hotel.

  • Departure by van or taxi vehicle customized for the group, making a 12-kilometer journey along the Leticia road via Tarapacá, bound for the Agapé Nature Reserve.

  • Arrival at the Agapé Reserve, orientation and instructions from the guide at the point of departure.

  • With lanterns in hand, we start the hike through natural paths of the jungle of the mainland, the largest jungle of the Amazon basin.

  • During the tour observing the nocturnal landscape, we appreciate a great variety of species of insects, arachnids, orthoptera, butterflies and amphibians. All these animals are accompanied by the symphony of thousands of other organisms that wake up during the night in the Amazon jungle.

  • Then in a moment to sensitize, we turn off the lights, and in total silence we will feel the jungle in activity, observing luminous organisms like the "way of ancestors" or "moon way" luminescent mushrooms to the darkness of the night.

  • After this unforgettable experience, return to Leticia.

  • 09:00 p.m. Arrival at the hotel.

 

Day 2 Puerto Nariño Tour and the Monkey Island.

  • Breakfast 7:00 am.

  • 7:30 am. Meeting with your guide at the hotel.

  • 8:00 am. Departure by speedboat to suit the group, we sail the Amazon River upstream to Puerto Nariño.

  • Orientation imaginary point of the three borders, we have a spectacular panoramic view of border cities of Brazil, Peru and Colombia.

  • During the tour over the imposing river, we appreciate the Amazon rainforest and the riverside villages of indigenous Ticunas and Yaguas from (Peru and Colombia).

  • Arrival at the Flor de Loto Natural Reserve, during the visit we appreciate the Victoria Regia, the most representative plant of the Amazon flora.

  • Navigating waters further up we arrive at the monkey island Natural Reserve, where we have an unforgettable encounter with herds of Saimiri monkeys, a species that dominates the island and we will feed.

  • Following our tour we visit the indigenous community of Macedonia indigenous Ticunas, where we will have a brief cultural exchange with the residents of the community and purchase of handicrafts.

  • Arrival to Puerto Nariño, visit and recognition of the urban area of ​​the municipality.

  • Visit to the Naipata viewpoint, pleasant panoramic view of the municipality of Puerto Nariño and the surrounding lakes, as well as the great Amazon River.

  • Lunch at Las Margaritas restaurant, delight with the local cuisine.

  • Boat tour panoramic view of the lakes complex of Tarapoto, Sapo lake, Correo lake, Tarapoto and landscapes of flooded forest, (The visit to the lakes is only possible during the high water season from January to May).

  • Observation of pink and gray Amazonian dolphins (high probability activity, subject to hours of activity and travel).

  • 5.00 p.m. Arrival at the Leticia dock, on the way to the hotel.

 

Day 3 Marasha Natural Reserve (Peru)

  • Breakfast 7:30 am.

  • 8:00 am. Meeting with your guide at the hotel.

  • 8:30 a.m. Departure by speedboat to suit the group, we sail the Amazon upstream to the margin of Peru.

  • Spectacular panoramic view of the great Amazon River and the Peruvian jungle.

  • Arrival at the Marasha Natural Reserve port.

  • Hike through nature trails to Lake Marasha (around 2:00 hrs), (entry during the high water season from January to May is only possible in canoes)

  • Observation of fauna and flora of the floodplain area, during the tour we will recognize species of use in ethnobotany, knowing the dynamics of this ecosystem.

  • Lunch in Marasha Natural Reserve, delight with Peruvian cuisine.

  • Artisanal fishing activity, capture of piranhas and other species.

  • We will do a tour in traditional Kayak or Canoes on Lake Marasha, this is a fascinating view of natural landscapes that forms Lake Marasha.

  • Observation of the Hoatzín species of primitive birds that inhabit the shores of the lake.

  • Encounter with the grandfather tree, an imposing ceiba tree over 400 years old.

  • Hiking trail to the port of Marasha Natural Reserve 1:30 hrs.

  • Optional: Departure by slow boat on water trails to the port of the Marasha Reserve, (return by slow boat only possible in high water season from January to May) back to Leticia.

  • 5.00 p.m. Arrival at the Leticia pier, transfers to the hotel.

 

Day 4 Three Borders Tour Benjamin Constant (Brazil)

  • Breakfast 7:00 am.

  • 7:30 am. Meeting with your guide at the Hotel.

  • 8:00 am. Departure by speedboat to suit the group, we sail the Amazon downstream to Benjamin Constant (Brazil).

  • Orientation imaginary point of the three borders, spectacular panoramic view of border cities of Brazil, Peru and Colombia.

  • During the trip over the imposing river, we appreciate the Amazon rainforest and the riverside villages of indigenous Ticunas of Brazil.

  • Leaving the Amazon River, we visit the lakes of Saraiba in Peru, entering through landscapes of flooded forest, in search of rubber trees, to know the extraction of "latex" and our guides tell the stories of the early twentieth, when they took advantage of the rubber in the region. (This visit to the lakes of Saraiba and the extraction of rubber is only possible during the high water season).

  • Visit to the population of Islandia Peru, urban tour in Islandia, also called the "Venice of the Jungle".

  • Arrival to Benjamin Constant, visit and recognition of the urban area of Benjamin Constant.

  • Visit to the Maguta Museum, the first indigenous museum in Brazil, founded by the Ticunas, the indigenous nation with the largest population in Brazil.

  • Lunch at the hotel and restaurant Cabins.

  • Observation of pink and gray dolphins in the Amazon River. (high probability activity, subject to hours of activity of the species).

  • 3.30 p.m. Arrival at the Leticia pier, transfers to the hotel.

 

Day 5 City tour Tabatinga (Brazil)

  • Breakfast 7:30 am.

  • 8:00 am. Meeting with your guide at the hotel.

  • City tour Tabatinga Brasil by Taxi (2 hours approx.).

  • Visit the Leticia market and artisan galleries, the Tabatinga Brasil and Leticia Colombia border, the Tabatinga market, the Tabatinga shopping area, and the Comara lookout.

  • Return to the hotel.

  • Transfer to the airport one hour before the flight.
